This was such a fun trip! We will do this EVERY TIME we return to the area. The guide Justin was awesome and the trip was two hours of paddling around in a Kayak enjoying otters, turtles, gators, various birds, fish, a monkey and a bunch of other critters. We rented a tandem kayak this past weekend to paddle on our own. The guides were helpful and friendly. My only suggestion is that they give better instructions on what the lay of the land is at the kayak launch. When we arrived and went to the hut to pay our park and kayak fee, the dude behind the counter told us we had no reservation and acted dumb about where our particular company was located--or that it even existed. Then tried to sign us up with them. Turns out there's some sort of competition between the companies which is why the dude was playing dumb. It was explained to us once we found our guys in the red shirts. Other than that, Silver Springs did not disappoint. Huge monkey colony, a family of river otters, one lazy gator, and plenty of birds to see.

It's unfortunate that I rented with this kayak company last year and had a great time, but my experience this year is so frustrating that I have to give one star.  I was looking forward to showing friends this experience, but we had to cancel about two weeks out from our reservation.  Per the cancellation instructions, I have emailed THREE TIMES, texted once and left a voicemail.  It has been well over a week apart from my first effort to cancel. Disappointing Experience - No Manatees or Monkeys as Advertised! My recent visit was disappointing, as the main attractions I was looking forward to – manatees and monkeys – were nowhere to be found. The promotional materials and advertisements clearly showcased these animals, leading me to believe I would have the opportunity to observe them. This turned out to be a clear case of false advertisement. I spent considerable time and money based on these misleading claims, and to leave without seeing any of the promised wildlife was a complete letdown. It's frustrating to feel misled, and it significantly impacted my enjoyment of the experience. The guys at Kayaking Florida did a great job guiding us on this tour. Justin was really knowledgeable and knew where the wildlife would hang out. So we saw manatees, otters, gators and masses of birds and fish. Highly recommended.
